St. Petersburg, Russia, is celebrating its 20 th anniversary of "St. Petersburg" this year. The city was called "Leningrad" of the 67 years preceding the change of name to "Saint Petersburg" in 1991. Today, St. Petersburg is a bustling metropolis of nearly 5 million. Its rich culture combined with modern an important cultural and historical heritage makes this city a popular tourist destination. Second in the town of Moscow, St. Petersburg (or more commonly just "St. Petersburg") has a large number of cultural attractions, including more than 220 museums, libraries 2000, more than 80 theaters, 100 concert organizations and 45 galleries / showrooms.
